Donna DiMaggio Berger is a Shareholder with Becker & Poliakoff and has represented all types of shared ownership communities throughout Florida. Ms. Berger is a member of the College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL), a prestigious national organization that acknowledges community association attorneys who have committed themselves to high standards of professional and ethical conduct.Ms. Berger is active on social media and leading social networking sites and authors the popular “Community Association Law” blog (www.CommunityAssociationLawBlog.com) on timely topics and issues of interest for common interest ownership communities. She is also the Condo Law blogger for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. She has created and manages the Condo and HOA Law & Living Group on LinkedIn, one of the most active social networking groups on the Internet for community association residents and professionals. She also shares news and views on community association law and living on Twitter at @CondoandHOAlaw.Ms. Berger has worked with legislators on behalf of shared ownership communities. She has testified before the Florida Legislature and frequently appears on radio talk shows and in print media discussing association issues. She also serves on two Florida Bar Committees: the LOMAS Advisory Board and the Media & Communications Law Committee. She is a member of the Real Property Probate and Trust Law (RPPTL) Section of the Florida Bar and is also a member of the Community Association Institute (CAI) and the National Association of Professional Women.Ms. Berger grew up in Chicago, attended Northwestern University undergraduate and the University of Miami Law School. She and her husband Michael live in Plantation, Florida and have two children, Ryan and Lauren.
